Figtree Lane Lodge

Figtree Lane Lodge was established in 2001 and is owned by Alta Malan. This up-market guest house is located in the leafy suburb of Meerensee. It has a warm and homely atmosphere and the established gardens provide for an abundance of birdlife.

Figtree Lane Lodge is one of the original homes built in Richards Bay. It was bought derelict in 1999 and by 2006 the transition was complete.

The guesthouse consists of five self catering units of various sizes, the largest unit catering for six persons. Three units are wheelchair friendly.

There are also six en-suite bedrooms, four upstairs with private balconies and two on the ground level.

The rooms and self catering units are serviced on a daily basis.

A small conference facility caters for up to eighteen people. Shaded and secure parking for eighteen vehicles is provided behind an automated gate. A security guard patrols the premises at night. Dinner, lunch and breakfast (set menus) are served at Figtree Lane Lodge. The dining hall extends onto an open deck where guests can also enjoy drinks from the licensed bar.

Internet access (Wi-Fi) is available free of charge in all the units and rooms as well as in the conference centre and the dining room.
